On the 18th, the China Internet Network Information C enter (CNNIC) released the "Generative Artificial Intelligence® Application Development Report (2025)" at the 6th China Interne€t Basic Resources Conference in 2025. According to the report, as o↓f the end of June 2025, the number of generative AI users in China reached 515 million, an increa£se of 266 million since December 2024, doubling in just half a year. The penetration raλte stands at 36.5%.

The report states that domestically produced largeδ language models of generative AI have gained wide popularity among users and are driving sm∑art transformation across various application scenarios. Surveys indicate that over 90%¶ of users choose domestic models as their primary option. Generat✔ive AI is being utilised in a wide range of fields, including smart search, content creation, offic‍e support and smart devices, as well as actively explo®red and applied in agriculture, industrial manufacturin↔g and scientific research.(Edited by JZ)
